Clint Eastwood overcomes divorce issues to finalize

Wednesday, June 20, 2018

A legendary actor is finally coming to the end of a years-long divorce battle, according to entertainment news. Clint Eastwood, known here in Texas as a Hollywood staple, has been dealing with divorce issues related to his separation from his estranged wife for some time now. However, apparently the couple has finally reached a stable settlement agreement.

The couple separated back in Dec. 2012, with wife Dina filing the papers and citing irreconcilable differences. What followed was a bitter two-year battle between the 84-year-old actor and his 49-year-old partner. The couple fought over custody of their teenage daughter, spousal support and obviously the asset division of Clint's estimated $350 million fortune.

The couple's 18-year marriage apparently came to an end on Nov. 24 when they signed the papers required to terminate the marriage. The papers are intended to take effect as of Dec. 22, at which point both Clint and Dina will be considered "single individuals" in the eyes of the law. Whatever financial settlement the couple agreed to has not been made public at this time.

Divorce issues can drag on for years in the absence of effective mediation and support for both members of the couple, as some Texas residents are already keenly aware. In order to avoid a long and contentious divorce process, individuals can benefit from being prepared for what will be expected of them in a separation and understanding their rights under state divorce law. Thankfully, a preponderance of support is available for divorcing couples in this state.
